Occupational Safety Measurement Instruments Thermal Comfort Training and Introduction Presentation

One of the Core Parameters of Occupational Safety Measurements;

Thermal Comfort (Heat Stress) Measurement

The human body is designed to survive within specific ambient conditions. In particular, thermal values, which are critical to life and living organisms on Earth, represent one of the greatest factors enabling human existence on the planet.

However, this factor can vary depending on time and environment, and in working life in particular, it can also fluctuate depending on manufacturing processes or externally operated equipment.

Thermal Comfort, on the other hand, is a subjective state expressing satisfaction with the environment in terms of thermal parameters (such as temperature, humidity, air velocity).

Measuring comfort conditions desired by every person and standardising them is very challenging. However, there are dedicated instruments that measure this state and all associated parameters in accordance with general standards, providing us with reference values.

Manufacturing occupational safety measurement instruments since 1961 and continually carrying out R&D in this field, TSI wishes to introduce the Questemp™ series—which has been manufactured for years and will be updated in the near future—and deliver a presentation on global measurement examples and standards regarding the following topics:

The presentation programme is as follows:
- What is Heat Stress?
- Tips for preventing heat-related illnesses.
- How to predict Heat Stress?
- What is WBGT, its significance, and explaining environmental heat exposure risks.
- What is PMV-PPD?
- Current and alternative solutions for monitoring Heat Stress.
- An overview of TSI's Heat Stress Monitoring solution.

Conference participation is free of charge.

Date: 24.06.2020 (Wednesday)
Time: 16:00 (Turkey Time)
Duration: 1 Hour
