Occupational Safety Measurement Instruments Thermal Comfort Training and Introduction Presentation

One of the Core Parameters of Occupational Safety Measurements;

Thermal Comfort (Heat Stress) Measurement The human body is designed to survive within specific ambient conditions. Thermal values, which are especially critical for living organisms and our survival on Earth, are among the greatest factors enabling humans to maintain their existence on the planet. However, this factor can vary depending on time and environment, and can also fluctuate depending on manufacturing processes or externally used equipment, especially in working life. Thermal Comfort, on the other hand, is a subjective state expressing satisfaction with the environment in terms of thermal parameters (such as temperature, humidity, airflow). Measuring the comfort conditions every individual would wish to be in and establishing a standard for this is very challenging. However, there are specific instruments that measure this state and all parameters in accordance with general standards, offering us reference values. TSI, which has been manufacturing measurement instruments for Occupational Safety since 1961 and continually conducting R&D in this field, wishes to introduce you to the Questemp™ series—which has been manufactured for years and will be renewed in the very near future—and deliver a presentation on the following topics regarding measurement examples and standards worldwide. The presentation programme is as follows: - What is Heat Stress? - Tips on preventing heat-related illnesses. - How is Heat Stress estimated? - What is WBGT, its importance, and explaining environmental heat exposure risks. - What is PMV-PPD? - Available and alternative solutions for monitoring Heat Stress. - Overview of TSI's Heat Stress Monitoring solution. Conference participation is free of charge. Date: 24.06.2020 (Wednesday) Time: 16:00 (Turkey Time) Duration: 1 Hour For detailed information about the Questemp Thermal Comfort Instrument, here you can access it here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the topic "Our 2020 Activities" important?

This article summarises the fundamental concepts, intended use, and practical considerations of the topic "Our 2020 Activities" through NOVEL's technical content approach.

How should accurate measurement or product selection be conducted?

Measurement range, environmental conditions, target parameters, and application objectives must be evaluated collectively. Product or methodology selection should not be based solely on a single technical parameter.

Whom may I contact for technical support?

The NOVEL Technical Team provides engineering assistance with measurement methodologies, instrument selection, and application-specific equipment evaluation.
