PERGAM SELMA Duo Methane and Ethane Leak Survey System

Plan the Right Configuration

SELMA Duo (Sniffer) is an extractive TDLS analyzer designed for both pedestrian walking surveys and vehicle-based mobile gas leak inspections. It measures methane (0–40,000 ppm) and ethane (0–1,000 ppm) with a 0.01 ppm display resolution. Notably distinct from resolution, the lowest detection limit is <=0.30 ppm for CH4 (<=0.15 ppm with 10-second averaging) and <=15 ppm for ethane (<=10 ppm with 10-second averaging). Field operations are supported via an Android smartphone app, Bluetooth data sync, and GPS route tracking.

The 0.01 ppm resolution is not the detection limit. Methane/ethane assessment supports field investigation of the gas source; it is not conclusive source attribution by itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is resolution the detection limit?

No. The 0.01 ppm resolution differs from the documented gas-specific detection limits.

Why measure ethane?

Ethane data alongside methane supports field assessment of the gas source; it is not conclusive source attribution alone.

How are data recorded?

The system supports an Android application, Bluetooth and GPS route recording.
