    Construction SensAir instruments are manufactured to be resistant to toxic poisons. Consequently, measurement results are unaffected by ambient chemicals and hydrocarbons. Furthermore, sensor lifespans are not degraded by ambient conditions. SensAir features a very rugged cast aluminium housing suitable for use in explosive atmospheres. This configuration features horizontal or vertical conduit orientation or a polycarbonate NEMA-rated enclosure. Display models feature a bright LED display, non-intrusive easy user interface, and maintenance screen. Both HD plastic and 316 stainless steel sensor housings provide excellent corrosion resistance.

    Gas Detection and Standards Approach

    Fixed gas detection approach: Target gas, measuring range, sensor technology, alarm levels, mounting location, ventilation, process conditions, output/communication, and area classification must be evaluated together. In flammable gas and explosive atmosphere applications, the EN/IEC 60079 series; and in toxic gas and oxygen applications, relevant standards such as EN 45544, EN 50104, and EN 50271 for control electronics may be considered on an application basis. This description does not imply that the model is certified to all standards; compliance must be verified separately using the model code and current manufacturer certificates.
