The Kitagawa system combines a chemical-specific detector tube with the AP-20 manual pump. The stain formed in the tube provides a concentration reading. For occupational hygiene, maintenance and process checks, select the tube by target substance, expected concentration and site conditions.

Reusable pump

Use the AP-20 with the appropriate single-use tubes. Check tube expiry dates and storage conditions.

No electrical supply

Manual aspiration supports portable use. A sampling completion indicator shows when the draw is complete.

Tube-specific selection

Verify range, interferences and corrections in the tube instructions. Do not mix pump and tube brands.

Which Kitagawa tube should I select for my chemical?

Search the tube catalogue by chemical name or product code. Review the CAS number, measuring range and other gases present. Include the tube code and your application in the quotation request.

Can a detector tube be reused?

Do not reuse a spent detector tube. Use a suitable new tube and follow the manufacturer’s pump check procedure.

Is a short-term tube the same as a TWA dosimeter?

No. A short-term concentration check and time-weighted average exposure are different measurement objectives. TWA requires a suitable method and dedicated tube.
