    Gas Detection and Standards Approach

    Gas detection approach: Gas type, target measurement range, alarm purpose, sampling/diffusion method, sensor principle and site atmosphere must be evaluated together. In oxygen measurements EN 50104; in toxic gas applications the EN 45544 series; in combustible gas and explosive atmosphere applications the EN/IEC 60079 series may be relevant.
