Product Specifications
Ultrafine particles are defined as having a diameter smaller than 0.1 μm. Nanoparticles (nanomaterials) arising in industry fall into the ultrafine particle group with dimensions from 1 to 100 nm. While nanomaterials are produced and used for industrial and high-technology applications, ultrafine particles are by-products of combustion and other chemical reactions. To minimise occupational health risks associated with the production and use of nanomaterials, the evaluation of workplace conditions has become necessary. Utilising TSI's proven technology, P-Trak provides direct, real-time measurement of workplace ultrafine particle levels. The P-Trak UPC also identifies obvious pollutant sources and sources degrading air quality, such as boilers, furnaces, and vehicles. This instrument is used to detect pollutants dispersed into the environment from toxic exhaust gases, malfunctioning office equipment, boiler gasket leaks, and similar other sources.
